One brief for both sides of the change
Share your current vehicle details, kilometres, service history, condition and what you want next. Accurate information helps dealers assess a potential trade-in. We coordinate dealer offers as part of sourcing your replacement vehicle; we do not buy your car ourselves.
Compare the overall changeover amount
A higher trade-in offer does not always produce a lower overall changeover cost. Compare the replacement driveaway price, the trade-in amount and any applicable finance payout together. For example, a $40,000 replacement less a $15,000 trade-in plus a $5,000 payout leaves $30,000 to pay. This is an illustration, not a live quote.
Keep finance payout figures current
If your current car is financed, obtain a current payout figure from your lender. An estimate can change with interest, payments and the settlement date. The lender and dealer must confirm the final settlement arrangements; Changeover Auto does not provide finance approval or lending advice.
Dealer assessment still matters
Trade-in offers may be subject to inspection and confirmation of condition, kilometres, ownership and history. We help clarify the written terms so you know what could change the amount. An initial figure is not a guaranteed purchase commitment.
Plan collection and handover
Vehicle availability and collection arrangements need to align with the trade-in. We coordinate the next steps and seek confirmation of the dealer appointment and what you need to bring. Do not assume a same-day swap until the dealership confirms it.
How our fee works
The supplying dealership pays Changeover Auto $660 including GST after delivery. The fee is included in its quoted driveaway price. You do not pay a separate Changeover Auto service fee. Any separately approved external services, such as an independent inspection, may cost extra. We disclose the fee and relevant dealer relationships before sourcing begins.
Serving Sydney buyers
Tell us your postcode and where you are willing to collect a car. We confirm the scope we can coordinate and show the vehicle location in your proposal. Collection and transport arrangements depend on the supplying dealership and need confirmation.
